Online Club AGM — Clubhouse Rental

All members are invited to join our online club meeting to discuss the clubhouse rental arrangements. This is an important topic for the future of HilvCC and we’d love to see as many members as possible. The meeting will run approximately 2 hours from 19:30.

It’s the May holidays and schools are out — so come and celebrate the start of the season at the clubhouse! Free beer and burgers for just €4. We’ve got around 12 members joining us already, kicking off from 17:00. Kids welcome — it’s a great chance to meet the squad before the season begins. See you there! 🎉

Exciting Times for HilvCC Youth
This is a huge moment for Hilverumsche Cricket Club. We are proud to announce that HilvCC is partnering with Bloemendaal Cricket Club and have named the team Tulip Strikers! This will cover joint youth teams at Under-11 and Under-15 level for the 2026 season — a tremendous step forward for youth cricket in our region. The Teams are

The U15 team will include 4 HilvCC players, and the U11 team is also set to feature a strong Hilversum contingent. Our youngest players — U8s and U9s — will have their own fun round-robin soft ball competition with local clubs this season. The perfect way to fall in love with cricket! 🏏

📍 A note on home match venues
For both the U11 and U15 teams, approximately 3 matches will be hosted at Bloemendaal (Donkerelaan) with our Bloemendaal CC partners. We are also working to arrange 3 home matches right here in Hilversum — we’ll confirm these locations as soon as they’re finalised. Keep an eye out for updates! 👀

KNCB News – A New Competition Structure for Dutch Cricket
Big changes are coming to Dutch domestic cricket. The KNCB has announced a significant overhaul of the competition structure, with a new format taking effect from the 2026 season — and the early signs are that it’s good news for HilvCC.
The new structure introduces a broader pyramid with clearer promotion and relegation pathways across all divisions. Notably, the revamped format places greater emphasis on T20 cricket alongside the traditional 50-over format, and introduces regional groupings at lower levels to reduce travel.

The restructure hasn’t been without controversy — several clubs pushed back strongly, calling for a special general meeting to reconsider the proposals. The KNCB board has largely held its course, and the new structure below is now in place for 2026.
What changes in 2026?
- Topklasse returns to 8 teams (50 overs & T20)
- New T20 formats introduced at Tweede Klasse and below
- Broader pyramid — more teams, clearer promotion routes
- Regionalisation at lower levels reduces travel
- 2027 season brings further structural refinements
